On October 8, 2025, the landmark architectural exhibition "Regeneraciones: China y España en el espejo" (Regenerations: China and Spain in the Mirror) opened in Madrid. Jointly curated by the College of Architecture and Urban Planning (CAUP) at Tongji University and the Madrid School of Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (ETSAM), the exhibition brought together 70 prominent and emerging architects from both nations, alongside Pritzker laureates, international scholars, and government officials, to explore contemporary architecture and urban regeneration.
Scenic Architecture Office was invited to exhibit its work. On the morning of October 9, during the academic symposium moderated by Iñaki Carnicero, Secretary General for Housing and Urban Agenda of Spain, founding principal Zhu Xiaofeng joined the panel discussion titled "Weaving the Urban Fabric."
Focusing on the firm's representative project—the New Venue of the Yuz Museum in Shanghai—Zhu shared the design strategies and spatial thinking behind the intervention. He discussed with Chinese and Spanish peers how precise architectural insertions within constrained urban environments can seamlessly weave together historical context, public life, and civic vitality.
The exhibition marked a significant milestone in Sino-Spanish cultural and architectural exchange, providing Scenic Architecture Office an international stage for in-depth dialogue on heritage preservation, community activation, and sustainable urban renewal.
